อย่างเห็นได้ชัด เพราะเรือกอและนั้นมีเอกลักษณ์ประตัวตัวที่โดดเด่น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นลวดลายต่าง ๆ ที่อวดโฉมอยู่บนตัวเรือ ซึ่งมีความวิจิตรสวยงามมาก มีลวดลายที่ผสมผสานระหว่างศิลปะไทย อิสลาม จีน และศิลปะอื่น ๆ เนื่องจากอิทธิพลที่ได้รับมาจากสภาพแวดล้อมอันได้แก่ภูมิประเทศ ภูมิอากาศ สังคมความเป็นอยู่ ซึ่งสังคมความเป็นอยู่ในจังหวัดปัตตานีนั้น ประกอบไปด้วยชนชาติ 3 ชนชาติที่อาศัยอยู่ร่วมกันนั่นคือ ชาวไทยพุทธ ชาวไทยมุสลิมและชาวจีนนั่นเอง จิตรกรรมบนเรือกอและเกิดจากภาพที่ศิลปินสร้างขึ้นด้วยประสบการณ์ทางสุนทรียภาพและความชำนาญ ซึ่งส่วนมากไม่ได้ศึกษามาจากสถาบันใด ๆ แต่เกิดจากใจรักและการฝึกฝน ตำบลคลองคะเชนทร์ ตำบลโรงช้าง และตำบลเมืองเก่า สภาพปัจจุบันหลังจากมีการสร้างเขื่อนสิริกิตส์ปิดกั้นแม่น้ำน่านทำให้มีน้ำ น้อยลง น้ำแม่น้ำที่เคยไไหลเข้าสู่บึงสีไฟในฤดูฝนก็หมดไป จึงทำให้บึงสีไฟมีน้ำน้อยลงไปมาก พื้นที่รอบๆบึงสีไฟจึงถูกบุกรุกเป็นพื้นที่การเกษตรและที่อยู่อาศัย ในปี พ.ศ.2521 กรมประมงได้ทำการบูรณะบึงสีไฟโดยการสร้างคันดินขึ้นโดยรอบ เพื่อป้องกันการบุกรุก ต่อมาได้มีการรังวัดปักแนวเขต และออกเป็นหนังสือสำคัญที่หลวง เมื่อเดือนมีนาคม พ.ศ.2534 โดยกรมเจ้าท่าเป็นผู้ดูแลรักษามีเนื้อที่ทั้งสิ้น 5,390 ไร่เศษ สภาพโดยทั่วไป บึงสีไฟเป็นแหล่งน้ำธรรมชาติที่สำคัญของภาคเหนือตอนล่างเป็นแหล่งทำการประมงที่สำคัญ แต่เนื่องจากมีน้ำน้อยและมีวัชพืช เช่น อ้อ แขม บอน ผักตบชวาและบัว ขึ้นปกคลุมโดยทั่วไป จึงทำให้บึงตื้นเขินเร็วขึ้นในปี
